Total realized investment in North Sulawesi Province reached Rp9.38 trillion in 2024 according to data published in North Sulawesi Province in Figures by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) North Sulawesi in 2025. Of that amount, realized domestic investments accounted for Rp5.78 trillion, or 82.04 percent of total investments, while realized foreign investments reached Rp1.68 trillion or 17.96 percent.

The mining sector dominates investments to North Sulawesi Province in 2024 according to a presentation by Bank Indonesia (BI) North Sulawesi Representative Office Head Andry Prasmuko, with foreign investments to the sector reaching Rp982 billion from a total of 19 projects last year while domestic investments reached Rp2.22 billion from 109 projects.

Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry (KKP) Acting Capture Fisheries Director General Lotharia Latif revealed in a written statement on Apr. 13, 2025, that the ministry had disbursed more than Rp163 billion for capture fisheries in North Maluku Province from 2020 to 2024. The support aims to raise fishermen's productivity and strengthen marine infrastructure in the region, which is known as one of the production centers for high-value fishery commodities such as skipjack tuna.

The export value of commodities from North Sulawesi Province reached US$87.37 million in January 2025. Although declining by 9.87 percent month-to-month (mtm) from December 2024, the export value of said commodities also soared 49.22 percent year-on-year (yoy) from US$58.55 million in January 2024.

North Sulawesi Province recorded 5.39 percent economic growth in 2024, exceeding the national average of 5.03 percent. The province's gross domestic product (GDP) based on current prices reached Rp187.37 trillion in 2024 based on Statistics Indonesia (BPS) North Sulawesi Province data, while its GDP based on constant 2010 prices reached Rp107.58 trillion.
