FSPL 2025 benefits Bitung's economy

The 2025 Lembeh Strait Charm Festival (FPSL) concluded its five-day series of events in October 2025, including a special day to commemorate the anniversary of Bitung City, North Sulawesi Province. This annual event was a success in terms of organization and recorded a significant positive impact on the local economy.
Total micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) and culinary transactions during the event reached about Rp 1.1 billion. This figure was driven by the active participation of 27 creative economy MSMEs, 19 street vendors, four coffee MSMEs, as well as recreational facilities.
Notable transactions were recorded at the event's expo area, with one sound system booth owner recording sales of up to Rp 120 million in a single day. This area involved 25 expo participants from various institutions, including Bank Indonesia (BI), state-owned enterprises (SOEs), regional SOEs, banks, and other private companies.
The creative economy sector also plays a key role in boosting the local economy. Creative activities such as boat murals and wall murals generated around Rp 200 million in revenue.
Overall, the festival served as a collaborative platform for 251 artists and cultural actors from diverse backgrounds to showcase a variety of attractions, from colossal dances and music to the Sailing Pass sea parade.
The success of FPSL 2025 is the result of strong synergy between local governments, the private sector, banks, SOEs, regional SOEs, and state institutions.
