Investments to North Sulawesi reached Rp9.38t in 2024

Total realized investment in North Sulawesi Province reached Rp9.38 trillion in 2024 according to data published in North Sulawesi Province in Figures by Statistics Indonesia (BPS) North Sulawesi in 2025. Of that amount, realized domestic investments accounted for Rp5.78 trillion, or 82.04 percent of total investments, while realized foreign investments reached Rp1.68 trillion or 17.96 percent.

The realized domestic investments figure contracted 24.87 percent year-o-year from Rp7.69 trillion in 2023, while the realized foreign investments figure declined more significantly by 44.08 percent from Rp3.01 trillion in 2023.

"Of the 15 regencies [and] cities in North Sulawesi, the largest realized investments in 2024 was [achieved] by Manado City, which reached Rp2.31 trillion, and Tomohon City, which reached Rp1.25 trillion. Furthermore, [realized investments to] Kotamobagu City, North Minahasa Regency, North Bolaang Mongondow Regency reached Rp604.87 billion, Rp418.90 billion, and IDR 396.30 billion, [respectively]" said BPS North Sulawesi Head Aidil Adha.

"The largest foreign investment realization in 2024 was in North Minahasa Regency by Rp1.04 trillion, which North Minahasa also achieved in 2023 with a value of Rp1.7 trillion," said Aidil.

The next largest foreign investment realization in 2024 was in Manado City at Rp235.23 billion, South Minahasa Regency by Rp200.08 billion, and Bitung City by Rp140.73 billion.
