Maluku governor signs PSC for Binaiya block at IPA Convention and Exhibition 2025

Maluku Governor Hendrik Lewerissa attended the 49th Convention and Exhibition of the Indonesian Petroleum Association (IPA) held at Indonesia Convention Exhibition in the area of BSD City that is part of Tangerang Regency, Banten Province. This event was opened by Indonesian president Prabowo Subianto and attended by high-ranking officials in the energy sector, regional government leaders, as well as national oil and gas industry players.
In his remarks, Prabowo expressed great hopes for the event to help strengthen national energy sovereignty. He also greeted the Lewerissa and several other regional heads in particular, expressing optimism about the region's contribution to achieving the national oil and gas lifting target.
On that occasion, Lewerissa signed the commercial agreement for the production sharing contract (PSC) of the Binaiya Oil and Gas Block offshore of North Seram District, Central Maluku Regency, Maluku.
The signing was carried out in the presence of the president as part of the government's efforts to increase national oil and gas production. In addition to the Binaiya Block, production sharing contracts (PSCs) were also signed for the Serpang Block and Kojo Block offshore of the provinces of East Java and South Sulawesi, respectively.
