Gedebage Jazz Festival 2025 opened with a serene atmosphere

Gedebage Jazz Festival at Summarecon Mal Bandung on Jun. 6-8, 2025, opened with a serene and warm atmosphere after Bandung City was showered with rain since the afternoon of the event's first day.
Thousands of spectators who filled the Downtown Walk and Sawarga Courtyard areas seemed unmoved. Infact, they were even more enthusiastic about enjoying the beautiful jazz music that flowed from stage to stage.
The event was opened by an energetic performance from Soundmate, who successfully ignited the audience's enthusiasm with a touch of groovy acoustics alongside their soul jazz songs.
Not long after, In Karma took over the Downtown Walk stage and presented a unique arrangement that combined elements of traditionional music and progressive jazz, inviting the audience to be immersed in an evocative musical journey.
The lights on the Sawarga Courtyard main stage turned on to welcome a row of famous guest stars for the main event of the night. NonaRia opened the occasion with their distinctive vintage jazz style. Amid the beautifully arranged stage and dramatic lighting, the tro successfully enchanted the audience with a warm and nostalgic atmosphere.
Shortly after, it was Barry Likumahua & The Rhythm Service's turn to present their stunning funk jazz. Barry, with his energetic bass playing, invited the audience to dance and join in the cheers, turning the event's atmosphere into a more cheerful one.
Bilal Indrajaya, with his relaxed yet charismatic style, performed with a captivating city pop and modern jazz feel. His melancholic songs were the perfect companion for the light rain, a reflective moment that carried many of the audience away.
The night was closed magnificently by the festival's main star, Yura Yunita. The singer who hailed from Bandung performed all out with a melodious voice and touching emotions with songs such as Harus Bahagia, Tutur Batin, and Dunia Tipu-Tipu.
Under the light rain and dim lights, thousands of spectators sang along, a magical moment that will be remembered long by anyone who attended.
“Bandung never fails when it comes to audience energy. Rain, wind, [the atmosphere] is still warm. Thank you, Gedebage Jazz Festival!” Yura said to the enthusiastic cheers of the audience.
