The 16th BaliSpirit Festival was held at The Yoga Barn Ubud in Ubud District, Gianyar Regency, Bali Province on May 8-11, 2025. The event, which had 'Follow Your Spirit' as its teme, were attended by around 8000 participants from Australia, China, India, Europe, and the United States.
BaliSpirit Festival 2025 Media and Sponsorship Manager Dimaz Yogi Fawzi said that the festival was opened with a yoga class by Master Ketut Arsana through the Kundalini Tantra Yoga session. As a widely recognized practitioner and teacher, Master Arsana guides participants in techniques that combine breathing, body movement, and energy awareness.
"Kundalini Tantra Yoga is known as a practice that can awaken spiritual energy in the body, help strengthen the nervous system, balance hormones, and improve overall health - both physically and mentally," explained Dimaz on May 9, 2025.
Next, participants were invited to explore spiritual crafts in a special Sacred Mala-Mala Making workshop guided by AUM Rudraksha founder Soma Temple. This workshop invites participants to make a mala, a series of beads used for meditation.
"This is not just a creative activity, but also a form of meditative practice that calms the soul," he said.
The spiritual atmosphere was made even more welcoming with a kirtan music performance at the Tea Temple, presented by renowned musician and meditation teacher Punnu Singh Wasu. The strains of mantras and devotional music invited visitors to sing together in an intimate and peaceful atmosphere.
The highlight of the evening was a performance by Ilahi Sufi Qawwali, a music group that performs traditional Sufi poetry from India and Pakistan.
On the second day of the Bali Spirit Festival 2025, a Jivamukti Yoga workshop was held with Heeki Park. This workshop was designed to bring participants to a deeper understanding of inner freedom and peace through a series of dynamic asanas, mindful meditation, and profound philosophical teachings from the Jivamukti tradition.
"Throughout the day, the atmosphere of serenity and reflection continued at the Tea Temple with the Tea Medicine session, where participants enjoyed healing tea in a calming, meditative atmosphere," said Dimaz.
In the same place, a sacred African healing ceremony was guided by IKESH, providing a meaningful spiritual experience and connection with ancestral energy.
Towards the evening, the Tea Temple again became a center of serenity with a performance of Sound Healing Music by Agustian Supriatna. The harmonious tones took listeners on an inner journey that touched and refreshed the soul.
"At night, the attention of visitors shifted to The Groove Stage, where the series of performances began with the relaxed rhythms of Hartwell, followed by the collaborative energy and collective spirit of The Hanuman Project," he explained.
There was also a performance by Bottlesmoker, who presented an experimental electronic nuance.
BaliSpirit Festival Co-Founder I Made Gunarta emphasized his commitment for the festival to continue to elevate Ubud and Bali as the world's wellness center.
"BaliSpirit Festival is a space for anyone to find and follow their calling. Through the personal transformation born from this festival, participants are expected to bring positive energy back to their communities," said Gunarta during the opening of the Festival at the Padi Hotel Ubud at the evening of May 7, 2025.
He added that BaliSpirit Festival 2025 has not only had an impact on the economic growth in Ubud District, but also in other areas of Bali Province.
"The enthusiasm of visitors is very good and the market is starting to shift [to] China, [there are] lots of Chinese [visitors]," he explained.
In addition to having core activities such as yoga, music, and dance, the wellness center in BaliSpirit Festival 2025 will also be filled with various programs such as bamboo planting, book launches, and healthy food segments.
