The Bengkulu Provincial Government held the Besurek Batik Carnival to enliven the 2025 Tabut Festival while introducing the region's original batik and preserving Bengkulu's cultural heritage.

Chinese energy giant Mingyang Smart Energy Group has officially partnered with the Bengkulu Provincial Government for an ambitious Wind Power Plant (WPP) development project worth Rp7 trillion. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the project was signed by the Bengkulu Provincial Government and Mingyang Group subsidiary PT Investasi Ming Yang on May 24, 2025.

The meeting was led directly by Bengkulu Deputy Governor Rosjonsyah Mian, who was accompanied by Bengkulu Provincial Government Regional Secretariat Assistant II R.A. Denny.

Bengkulu Governor Helmi Hasan explained that the Bengkulu Provincial Government has allocated Rp1 trillion for the complete revitalization of Baai Island Port.

The Bengkulu City Government is targeting for investments to Bengkulu City to reach Rp2 trillion in 2025. Bengkulu City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) Head Irsan Setiawan expressed optimism that the target coyld be met.

Bank Indonesia (BI) Bengkulu Representative Office Head Wahyu Yuwana Hidayat conveyed that BI Bengkulu predicted Bengkulu Province's economic growth in the first quarter (Q1) of 2025 will be in the 4.4 to 5.2 percent range.
