PT Andalas Nusantara Centre discuss investment plans for West Pasaman Regency

The West Pasaman Regency Government received a visit from PT Andalas Nusantara Centre to discuss investment plans and cooperation in developing the regency's Pusako Anak Nagari Airport Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) and the harnessing of other resources.

The PT Andalas Nusantara Centre group was welcomed by the Deputy West Pasaman Regent Risnawanto along with the heads of the regency government apparatus and related stakeholders at the West Pasaman Regent's Office on Feb. 23, 2025.

"West Pasaman has extraordinary potential that has not been optimally developed, such as the marine sector, where fishery resources have not been optimally utilized and are still dominated by fishermen with traditional tools. In addition, the plantation sector also has great potential as a producer of plantation commodities that are of interest to be developed further," said Risnawanto.

He also highlighted that the Pusako Anak Nagari Airport has an area of ​​12 hectares (ha) and has served the Padang-West Pasaman and Pekanbaru-West Pasaman flight routes. However, airport operations were halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and the local government could not provide subsidies to restart its operation.

The Deputy Regent emphasized that the West Pasaman Regency Government is ready to provide assistance, information, and direction regarding investment opportunities for PT Andalas Nusantara Centre. It hoped that developmentin West Pasaman Regency could be optimized through the collaboration.

Meanwhile, PT Andalas Nusantara Centre representative Amasrul, expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome from the West Pasaman Regency Government. He also expressed his interest for the various local potential investments that had been presented, and stated his readiness to conduct further discussions and coordination regarding development plans.

"We want to contribute to the development of West Pasaman. However, we will still discuss further the form of cooperation that will be carried out, whether in the form of construction or a rental system, especially regarding Pusako Anak Nagari Airport," explained Amasrul.
