Jember Fashion Carnival 2025 culminated in a grand parade

The 2025 Jember Fashion Carnival culminated with a spectacular fashion parade on Aug. 10, 2025, in Jember Regency, East Java Province.

The carnival, which has "Evoluxion" as its theme than stands for Evolution, Luxury, and Innovation, featured 10 participants reflecting various topics from fashion history to futuristic design.

Jember Fashion Carnival President Budi Setiawan stated that this year's edition of the festival showcased a bolder, more magnificent, and more innovative exploration of carnival fashion.

"The ten major parade [participants] conveyed a message of caring for the earth, people, and civilization. [They are titled] Anatomy, Botannica, Allograph, Nile Enigma, Great Wall of China, Nias, Pinisi, Origami, Aerospace, and Symphonia," he said on Aug. 10, 2025.

The costume parade stretched 3.6 kilometers from the Jember Nusantara Square to the Jember Regency Multipurpose Building. Thousands of spectators lined the entire route.

Budi stated that Jember Fashion Carnival 2025 was the largest edition of it in history, both in terms of the scale of the event, the number of participants, and the variety of costumes on display.

"Alhamdulillah, God has given us the opportunity to put on a spectacular show like the one we just witnessed," he added.

He stated that the Jember Regency Government strives to improve the festival every year.

"The spirit of the local government is very palpable. In fact, one of the focuses we are pushing together is accelerating the opening of the Jember Airport, which is crucial for strengthening Jember's position as a cultural tourism city," Budi said.

Budi also aims for Jember Fashion Carnival 2026 to be of even greater international standing. The festival's organizers has declared Jember an Indonesian and global fashion city.

"Insha Allah, Next year's [Jember Fashion Carnival] will be filled with even more fashion, costumes, music, and various e-craft elements. Our goal is to strengthen Jember's identity in the eyes of the world through a grander and more varied carnival," he stated.

During the festival, Tourism Deputy Minister Ni Luh Enik Ermawati "Puspa" expressed her highest appreciation to Jember Fashion Festival's  founder, the late Dynand Fariz, who successfully transformed Jember into a world-class carnival stage.

She also commended the festival for its inclusion in the top 10 of the Tourism Ministry's Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) calendar of cultural festivals for the fifth time.

Ni Luh Puspa stated that the Jember Fashion Carnival is a cultural attraction that is a driving force for increasing tourist visits.

"We encourage the Jember Fashion Carnival to entice domestic and international tourists to come to Jember [and] provide a unique experience for them," she said.
