Central Sulawesi Governor presents province's potential to Kadin

Central Sulawesi Governor Anwar Hafid outlined his province's investment potential before hundreds of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) officials during a breakfast dialogue at the Aryaduta Hotel in Jakarta on June 13, 2025. The meeting was facilitated by Lippo Group Chairman as well as Kadin Deputy Chair and Foreign Affairs Coordinator James Riady.
Anwar invited national and local entrepreneurs to invest in key sectors such as health, education, aquaculture - including the provision of feed, fry, and cold storage of fishes, agriculture, plantations, livestock, and housing.
"If there are investors in Kadin who want to invest in Central Sulawesi... we, the local government, are ready to facilitate the permitting process, if necessary, by delivering it to their offices or residences," he stated.
Kadin Central Sulawesi Chair Muhammad Nur Rahmatu informed that the forum organized by James Riady was also attended by Kadin Organizational Affairs Deputy Chair Taufan Eko Nugroho. He added that several governors were invited by Kadin but only Anwar was able to attend, which was noted to demonstrate the seriousness and initiative of the Central Sulawesi Provincial Government.
During the event, James Riady expressed his readiness to invest in Central Sulawesi, provided the process to obtain all the necessary permits are simplified and there are no further land conflicts. He revealed that he is scheduled to visit Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi with plans to invest in the construction of 1,000 affordable houses to meet the needs of Lippo Group employees and the local community.
In response, Governor Anwar Hafid reiterated his commitment.
"We are ready to improve and reduce bureaucracy that is considered to hinder and complicate investors," he concluded.
