The Yogyakarta Sultanate is holding a temporary exhibition titled "Hamong Nagari: Aparatur Nagari Yogyakarta" from Mar. 8 to Aug. 17, 2025. The exhibition is held at the Kagungan Dalem Kedhaton (center of the Yogyakarta sultan's palace) of the Yogyakarta Palace and was inaugurated on Mar. 7, 2025 at the Kagungan Dalem Pagelaran (performance venue of the sultan's palace) at the palace.

DIY Industry and Trade Office Head Yuna Pancawati stated the DIY Government seeks to encourage tourist visits to DIY amid government austerity stipulated in Presidential Instruction (Inpres) No. 1/2025.

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Yogyakarta Special Region recorded the province's export value surging by 14.24 percent month-to-month (mtm) and 26.3 percent year-on-year (yoy) to US$59.35 million in December 2024. The data was conveyed by BPS Yogyakarta Head Herum Fajarwati during BPS Yogyakarta's Official Statistics News release at its office's Truntum Room on Feb. 3, 2025.

No less than 250 rubber industry players from 13 countries that include, among others, Malaysia, Cote d'Ivoire, and France, met at the International Rubber Conference 2024 in Yogyakarta from Nov. 19-21, 2024. On the first day, they highlighted various issues regarding natural rubber. One of them is the ongoing rubber disease outbreak that has yet to be cured and is gradually affecting global production, including in Indonesia.
