Southwest Papua Province Environment, Forestry and Land Agency (LHKP) plans to receive nearly US$1.13 million (about Rp18.49 billion) of investment in 2025, by April at the earliest, from a German non-governmental organization (NGO) for the Forest and Climate Change Programme (FORCLIME-FC) program. The program is aimed at overcoming greenhouse gas emissions caused by deforestation and forest degradation.

One of its efforts is to encourage investments into the province. Last year, Southwest Papua recorded its investments reaching Rp2.56 trillion, exceeding its investment target of Rp3.1 trillion.
In anticipation of the various benefits and impacts from the development of the tourism sector, the Raja Ampat Regency Government and its partners, including Conservation International's Konservasi Indonesia, the Marine Affairs and Fisheries Ministry, and the Southwest Papua Provincial Government, launched an electronic book (e-book) titled "Travelling Etiquette in Raja Ampat".
