The North Sumatra Provincial Government reported that the total realized investment value to North Sumatra reached Rp 42.36 trillion from 21,041 projects in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025.

Investments to North Sumatra Province was revealed to have reached Rp 28.41 trillion in the first half (H1) of 2025, or about 60 percent of the province's annual investment target for this year, during the North Sumatra Economic and Investment Synergy (SEMESTA) press conference by the North Sumatra Communication and Informatics Office at the North Sumatra Governor's Office in Medan City, North Sumatra on Sep. 29, 2025.

KIS Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Raghunath KR and AEP Group Mills and Engineering Head Shashi Kumar Govindan inaugurated the biomethane compressed natural gas (bio-CNG) project, a collaboration between KIS Group subsidiary PT KIS Biofuels Indonesia and Anglo Eastern Plantation (AEP) Group subsidiary PT Tasik Raja. It is the second bio-CNG project in Indonesia and the largest such factory in Southeast Asia.
