Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Deputy Minister Yuliot Tanjung inaugurated the Akatara Gas Processing Facilities (AGPF) project in Bram Itam Raya Village, Bram Itam District, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, Jambi Province on Apr. 14, 2025.

The Jambi City Government is ready to independently install a 100,000 connections natural gas (natgas) network through PT Siginjai Sakti (Perseroda), a company owned by the city government, after the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) between PT Pertamina (Persero) subsidiary PT Pertagas Niaga and PT Siginjai Sakti on Mar. 20, 2025.

Jambi Province's export value contracted by 21.46 percent month-to-month (mtm) from US$216.99 million in December 2024 to US$170.42 million in January 2025. Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Jambi Head Agus Sudibyo explained that the main cause of Jambi's export value decline was the drop in exports of fish and shrimp, vegetable oil, rubber and their derived products, plywood and other derived products, oil and gas, as well as coal.

Publicly-listed coal company PT ABM Investama Tbk. subsidiary PT Cipta Kridatama (PT CK) collaborated with SUN Energy in the inauguration of a solar power plant (SPP) in Jambi Province. The Public Works Ministry has completed the Centralized Domestic Wastewater Management System (SPALD-T) in Jambi City, Jambi Province. Public Works Minister Dody Hanggodo said that SPALD-T's construction aims to improve environmental quality, especially in urban areas along with the increasing population.

Jambi's export value  rose by 6.83 percent month-to-month (mtm) from US$203.13 million in November 2024 to US$216.99 million in December 2024. The increase in exports was driven by high global demand for several of Jambi's leading commodities, including oil and gas, coal, rubber and its derivatives, vegetable oil, and fishery products such as fish and shrimp.
