The procession was led by the Ruteng Bishop Monsignor (Mgr.) Siprianus Hormat and the Labuan Bajo Bishop-Elect Mgr. The Labuan Bajo Flores Tourism Authority (BPOLBF), in collaboration with the Labuan Bajo Vicariate, has released the Catholic Pilgrimage Travel Pattern in Labuan Bajo. This travel pattern is a follow-up to the webinar on the Potential and Strategy for Developing Catholic Pilgrimage Tourism in Flores, held on May 17, 2024, and the focus group discussion on July 5, 2024. The aim is to position Flores Island as a premier Catholic pilgrimage destination in Indonesia.

The Golo Koe Maria Assumpta Nusantara Festival in Labuan Bajo Subdistrict, Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province will be held again in 2024. The religious festival will take place from Aug. 1 to 15 2024.

Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno stated that the plan to periodically close the Komodo National Park in West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province starting from 2025 is expected to not to affect visits by foreign and domestic tourists. That is because the Labuan Bajo Flores Authority Implementing Body (BPOLBF) will develop other tourist attractions in the area.
