Realized investments to West Aceh soared 143 percent in 2024

The West Aceh Regency Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) recorded realized investments to the West Aceh Regency, Aceh Province, soaring by 143 percent year-on-year (yoy) from Rp663 billion in 2023 to Rp1.6 trillion in 2024.

West Aceh Regency DPMPTSP Head Edy Juanda AP stated that Meureubo District was the area with the highest investment value in the regency, reaching Rp524 billion or 32.5 percent of total investment mainly thanks to the presence of mining company PT Mifa Bersaudara.

"[It is] followed by Woyla District with Rp448 billion or 27.8 percent [of total investment], driven by PT Potensi Bumi Sakti in [West Aceh Regency's] industrial sector," said Edy on Feb. 7, 2025.

He added that the West Aceh Regency DPMPTSP has issued 3,366 permit and non-permit licenses throughout 2024. The licensing services were carried out entirely electronically through various platforms, such as Online Single Submission Risk Based Approach (OSS-RBA) and the Integrated Permit Services Smart Application for the Public (siCANTIK Cloud).

Edy also said that West Aceh Regency has succeeded in becoming one of the top 10 regions with the best spatial-based investment opportunities in Indonesia.

"The public service performance of DPMPTSP West Aceh has also received recognition, with a compliance value of 90.56 from the Indonesian Ombudsman that places it in the highest service quality category in Aceh [Province] in 2024," he said.
