IDW Presents Golden Swirl Awards for Jakarta

Indonesia Dessert Week (IDW), the leading dessert festival that aims to be the pinnacle of dessert celebration in Indonesia, is proud to introduce the Golden Swirl Awards for the Jakarta region. The prestigious award is founded in recognition and celebration of the best players in the Jakarta dessert scene.

"We are very proud to launch the Golden Swirl Awards as part of Indonesia Dessert Week's commitment to celebrating the extraordinary talents in the Indonesian dessert landscape," IDW co-founder Gupta Sitorus stated. "This award provides a place for individuals and brands who excel in creating extraordinary dessert experiences that also contribute significantly to the culinary richness of Jakarta."

In its inaugural year, the Golden Swirl Awards focuses on the Jakarta dessert scene and presents 13 categories. Each category is carefully selected to showcase the diversity and richness of the dessert industry, from traditional Indonesian desserts to international dessert delights.

The winners of the 2024 Golden Swirl Awards for the Jakarta region are:

  2. Cake Shop of the Year – Jakarta: FLOR
  3. Ice Cream & Gelato Shop of the Year – Jakarta: Mack's Creamery
  4. Chocolate Shop of the Year – Jakarta: Pipiltin Cocoa
  5. Viennoiserie Shop of the Year – Jakarta: BRAUD General Store
  6. Vegan/Vegetarian Dessert Shop of the Year – Jakarta: Rumah Juliet
  7. Doughnut Shop of the Year – Jakarta: Luna's Doughnuts
  8. Cookie Shop of the Year – Jakarta: Endorphins
  9. Plated Dessert of the Year – Jakarta: August
  10. Lifetime Achievement – ​​Jakarta: Heru Laksana (Maison Weiner)
  11. Emerging Dessert Shop of the Year – Jakarta: Maiku - Blok M
  12. Dessert Experience of the Year – Jakarta: LIT Bakehouse
  13. Pastry Chef of the Year – Jakarta: Nabila Yoestino
