Hundreds of visitors beheld the opening of International Mask Festival 2025 at the Pendapa Gede Hall of Surakarta "Solo" City, Central Java Province, on Nov. 14, 2025.

Solo International Performing Arts (SIPA) 2025 returned to Surakarta City, Central Java Province in Sep. 4–6, 2025. The event took place at the Pura Mangkunegaran Field.

The Indonesian Umbrella Festival (Fespin) has once again enlivened Surakarta City, Central Java. Held at Balekambang Park, the series of events for the festival began ran in Sep. 5-7, 2025. Surakarta Mayor Respati Ardi attended the opening ceremony, which included the Nusantara Umbrella Parade.

The Surakarta City Government held the Solo Keroncong Festival (SKF) 2025 at Fort Vastenburg in Surakarta City, Central Java Province in July 25-26, 2025.

The 2025 Mount Slamet Festival (FGS) in Serang Village, Karangreja District, Purbalingga Regency, Central Java Province was opened on July 4, 2025. The public was treated to a series of events over three days until July 6, 2025.

Central Java Province considers itself considered ready to be a driver for green investment inflow to Indonesia. With renewable energy (renewables) potential reaching 201 gigawatts (GW) and the attraction of leading industrial areas, the province is projected to have US$8.26 billion or around Rp132 trillion (at Rp16,500 per US$1) of renewables investment potential.

The Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry has officially designated the Dieng Plateau area as a national geopark through ESDM Ministerial Decree No. 172.K/GL.01/MEM.G/2025 on May 7, 2025.
