Tidore Islands Mayor Invites Investor to Develop North Maluku Tourism

WINDONESIA June 8, 2024 Tidore Islands Mayor Capt. Ali Ibrahim and Tourism and Creative Economy Miniser Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno at ITIF 2024.

Tidore Islands Mayor Capt. Ali Ibrahim emphasized the critical role of tourism in boosting the regional economy in Eastern Indonesia.He also highlighted that the International Tourism Investment Forum (ITIF) 2024 forum serves as a gateway for investors to explore the tourism potential of Tidore Islands City.

He shared his insights after attending ITIF 2024 in Jakarta on Jun. 5, 2024. The event was also graced by the presence of Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno and Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati.

"East Indonesia, especially Tidore, boasts extraordinary natural and cultural beauty. We have stunning beaches, rich historical sites, and a unique culture. I am confident that with the right attention and investment, Tidore and North Maluku can become leading tourist destinations in Indonesia," he said.

The Mayor, who is serving his second term, invited both domestic and international investors to witness the potential of Tidore Islands City, North Maluku Province firsthand.

"We are prepared to offer various incentives and conveniences for investors aiming to develop Tidore tourism. The regional government will provide full support to achieve the common goal of advancing the tourism sector," he added.

He expressed hope that the ITIF 2024 event would be a pivotal moment for Tidore Islands City and other regions in Eastern Indonesia to gain recognition and attract tourists and investors.

"With close cooperation between the government, the community, and investors, tourism in Eastern Indonesia is expected to grow rapidly and positively impact the local economy," he stated.

Ali Ibrahim remains optimistic that with continuous efforts and intensive promotion, Tidore Islands will increasingly attract investors and become a top tourist destination, rivaling other areas.
