Strategic activities at East Kalimantan Paradise Of The East, MIF 2024

There are five strategic activities at the international scale events East Kalimantan Paradise Of The East and Mahakam Investment Forum (MIF) 2024 on Nov. 8, 2024. First, the signing of the Letter of Intent (LoI) by the Moroccan Ambassador addressed to East Kalimantan Province as well as the launch of Truster Virtual Space as a means of promoting investment, tourism, and trade in East Kalimantan.

Second, the launch of the IKN Batik Book and East Kalimantan Indonesian Traditional Cloths MSMEs as well as the the granting of IKN Batik Intellectual Property Rights to 13 batik makers. Third, the provision of assistance for facilities and infrastructure to farmer groups, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and tourism to support food independence and the development of Tourism Awareness Groups.

Moreover, the fourth and fifth activities are the granting of organic rice certificates and export certificates, respectively, for East Kalimantan entrepreneurs. Bank Indonesia (BI) East Kalimantan Representative Office Head Province Budi Widihartanto hopes that the East Kalimantan Paradise of The East and Mahakam Investment Forum (MIF) 2024 events could encourage an inclusive and sustainable East Kalimantan economy.

"I appreciate the presence of ambassadors and representatives from friendly countries in this forum, which will strengthen international relations and open up opportunities for economic cooperation," he said.

East Kalimantan Paradise of The East itself is a strategic forum which aims to introduce creative solutions and the latest concepts in order to increase the capacity and competitiveness of MSMEs. Meanwhile, MIF 2024 was held to promote and develop green investment potential that is not only economically profitable but also environmentally friendly and future-oriented.

It is hoped that collaboration will be established between the government, private sector, and society through the forums in creating an ecosystem that supports innovation and sustainable practices. East Kalimantan could thus become a center for adaptive and progressive economic growth in Indonesia.
