Sanur SEZ nears completion

WINDONESIA December 4, 2024 (BMI)

Bluecross Medika Internasional (BMI) announced the topping-off or the final stage for the Sanur Special Economic Zone (SEZ)'s construction. The facility will be a Center of Excellence that unites up to 20 specialist clinics for plastic surgery, aesthetic medicine treatments, hair transplants, and stem cell therapy for anti-aging.

This Center of Excellence is envisioned as a response to the increasing demand for global quality aesthetic medicine treatments, especially considering that there are more than two million Indonesians seeking treatment abroad in 2022 who spent around US$10 billion.

"The Sanur SEZ was established with a vision to be a world-class medical and wellness destination. Our collaboration with Bluecross International as a strategic partner is a key step in realizing that vision," Hotel Indonesia Natour (InJourney Hospitality) President Director Christine Hutabarat stated on Nov. 14, 2024.

"We are optimistic that this collaboration can be a catalyst in building an inclusive and sustainable health tourism ecosystem, while strengthening the appeal of Indonesian medical tourism. This effort is expected to provide a positive contribution to the national economy, especially for the economic growth of Bali," she added.

Christine said that the global-standard aesthetic and plastic surgery services in the Sanur SEZ through Bluecross International present the best technology, care, and professional expertise. She claimed that the BMI site has the most complete aesthetic medicine service facility in Bali, bringing together various international clinics and specialties in one site.

"We are committed to providing a world-class experience for visitors to the Sanur SEZ. We are optimistic that theinitiative will not only answer the needs of thousands of Indonesians for medical aesthetic services, but also make a real contribution to improving the quality of service," Christine said.

She noted that the approach is done to simplify the decision-making process for local and global clients looking for the best services, especially for those who need highly specialized services that include plastic surgery, aesthetic medicine treatments, body contouring, hair transplants, and stem cell therapy for anti-aging.

The BMI project is built with four floors with an area of 10,000 square meters. The ground floor consists of the main lobby, VIP lobby and lounge, reception, pharmacy, restaurant and cafe, auditorium, meeting rooms, as well as offices.

Bluecross International’s carefully curated global clinics will occupy the entire first to third floors of the Annex Building. A total of 26 patient beds will be located on the second floor, including 2 Presidential Suites. Bluecross International will have nine operating rooms with international hospital standards.

The Center of Excellence for aesthetic medicine services in Bali serves clients from across Asia, Australia, and other parts of the world, with access to specialist treatments that meet the highest global standards.

Meanwhile, Bluecross Medika Internasional Director Rudy Surjanto said that the company not only expanded the range of aesthetic treatments in Bali through the facility, but also provides an opportunity for clients to celebrate their beauty and appearance.
