WINDONESIA April 8, 2025
Riau Islands Deputy Governor Nyanyang Haris Pratamura received a visit from PT Anugrah Duta Corporation (PT ADC) at the Graha Kepri Office in Batam City, Riau Islands on Mar. 20, 2025. The meeting discussed PT ADC's plan to invest in Riau Islands' mining sector.
Also present at the meeting were Riau Islands Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Office Head Muhammad Darwin, Riau Islands Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) Head Hasfarizal Handra, and the Riau Islands Development Targets Achievement Acceleration Team.
During the occasion, Nyanyang emphasized his support for PT ADC's incoming investment to Riau Islands.
"The presence of PT ADC, which will invest in Riau Islands, must be fully supported because it will contribute to supporting economic development in this province," he said.
Nyanyang also emphasized that Riau Islands Governor Ansar Ahmad and the Riau Islands Provincial Government continues to strive to create equitable economic growth, with a focus on the health, education, investment, and employment sectors.
Meanwhile, PT ADC Chief Executive Officer Adhia Absar Arryman expressed his hope that the company could immediately start investing in Kepri.
"PT ADC hopes to immediately invest in Riau Islands and contribute to regional economic development, especially in the mining sector," he said.
However, Adhia also conveyed several obstacles faced by PT ADC, especially related to permits that still overlap with the ones owned by other companies, which slightly hampered the smooth running of the company's investment process.
In response, Nyanyang ensured that the Riau Islands Provincial Government would help resolve licensing obstacles through coordination with the Riau Islands ESDM Office and the Riau Islands DPMPTSP.
"We will help resolve the licensing issues currently being experienced as soon as possible. The Riau Islands Government is committed to supporting the entry of investors to improve the regional economy," he said.
Riau Islands ESDM Office Head Muhammad Darwin stated that the Riau Islands ESDM Office is ready to oversee and supervise PT ADC's permitting process so that the company could immediately meet said permits' requirements and begin its investment activities.
