Mining dominates Central Kalimantan's November 2024 exports

Non-oil and gas exports comprised all of Central Kalimantan's total exports in November 2024, which reached US$356.39 million.

"The total export volume of Central Kalimantan in November 2024 increased by 30.74 percent compared to October 2024," said Statistics Indonesia (BPS) Central Kalimantan Province Head Agnes Widiastuti during the official release of BPS Central Kalimantan's export data for the province in early 2025.

Agnes explained that mining sector goods had the largest contribution to the province's total export value by 82.54 percent. Their export value also surged by 39.08 percent month-to-month (mtm).

"The main export commodities among mining goods during November 2024 include coal, zirconium ore, niobium and tantalum, lignite, titanium ore, as well as other mineral materials," she divulged.

Meanwhile, the export value of Central Kalimantan's manufacturing sector goods reached US$62.23 million in November 2024, and contributed to 17.46 percent of the province's total export value. Exports of manufacturing sector goods increased by 5.92 percent mtm. The main export commodities of Central Kalimantan's manufacturing sector include palm oil, processed wood, plywood, crumb rubber, oil cake, other manufacturing sector residue, and wood veneer.
