Locals enthusiastic for BSF CGM 2025

Residents appeared enthusiastic to watch the 2025 Bogor Street Festival Cap Go Meh (BSF CGM) at the Suryakencana to Siliwangi Road of Bogor City, West Java Province on Feb. 12, 2025.
The local community had filled the main stage area right next to the Dhanagun Temple since 13.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB), even though the event was set to start at around 16.00 WIB.
Several figures attended the cultural party and parade, such as Sinta Nuriyah, wife of 4th Indonesian President Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid, Former State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) Minister Dahlan Iskan, Acting West Java Governor Bey Triadi Machmudin, and Acting Bogor Mayor Hery Antasari.
BSF CGM 2025 Committee Chair Arifin Himawan stated that this yeaar's BSF CGM had "Welcoming the New Era: A New Beginning" as its theme. There are at least 77 art studios performing along the parade route from afternoon to evening.
He explained that BSF CGM has three major missions, namely preserving Sundanese and Nusantaran culture. Second, empowering MSMEs and improving the people's economic conditions. Third, increase Bogor City's locally-generated income from hotel and restaurant taxes thanks to the many tourists visiting it.
Several cultural arts performed at BSF CGM 2025 include lion dances, liong, ogoh-ogoh, reog ponorogo, and the red and white flag procession.
"Yesterday we held a wayang golek until midnight and there were many spectators. This is proof that we still love culture," said Arifin.
