Kupang Encourages Investments Through KIF II 2024
September 29, 2024The Kupang City Government held the Kupang Investment Forum II (KIF II) 2024 at the Aston Kupang Hotel and Convention Center in an effort to encourage economic growth and strengthen investment synergy. The event, organized by the Kupang City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP), was attended by several leaders of state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and banks, as well as investors from various sectors.
Economy and Development Assistant of the Kupang City Regional Secretary Ignasius Repelita Lega opened the forum in representation of Kupang Acting Mayor Linus Lusi. Ignasius passed on the mayor's appreciation of the Kupang City DPMPTSP for holding the forum, which was considered strategic for the creation of a conducive investment climate.
"This forum is an important forum for exchanging ideas and strengthening synergy between various parties," he said.
Ignasius emphasized the Kupang City Government's commitment to continue encouraging investment growth by improving service quality. With the theme "Keep Going, Keep Growing," the Kupang City Government hopes that development and investment in Kupang City could continue to grow and help realize the "Great Kupang" vision.
Kupang City DPMPTSP Head Wildrian Ronald Otta also reported significant achievements in public services. He revealed an increase in the number of agencies involved from 12 to 17 and services provided from 57 to 74.
"Visitors who use the services surged from 273 people in November 2023 to 1,917 people in August 2024," he revealed.
Wildrian also said that Kupang City has achieved 64.73 percent of its Rp1.05 trillion investment target for 2024.
"With the collaboration of all parties, we are optimistic that this target could be achieved," he said.
The forum also provided the momentum for the launch of the SIPINTAR (Investment Information System and Integrated One-Stop Service) application and Help Desk. The application is expected to facilitate online licensing services, supporting the implementation of electronic government (e-Government) in Kupang City.
With SIPINTAR, the licensing process is expected to be faster and more efficient, in line with the Kupang City Government's commitment to improving services to their people.
