Dancing fountain, video mapping Christmas 2024 shows at Monas

The public enthusiastically visited the National Monument (Monas) in Central Jakarta to watch the video mapping and dancing fountain performances on Dec. 25, 2024.
The video mapping performance can be seen on the southern side of Monas, while the dancing fountain show is on the western side. The performances at Monas were very well received by the audience.
"[We] want to wait for the Monas fountain show with [our] children. Plus it's also close and affordable," said Mama Say, a resident of Cengkareng, West Jakarta who came for the performances.
"It just so happens that I'm on vacation, there's a visit. It's only been two days. Because the facilities here are good for walking, you can sit and relax, the atmosphere is also safe," said Iwan (45) from South Sumatra, another audience member.
Iwan admitted that he deliberately chose Monas because he wanted to learn about the place's history and teach it to his children.
He also conveyed a Merry Christmas to Christians.
"For our non-Muslim brothers and sisters, especially those who are Christian, have a Merry Christmas. May God always bless us all pwith] everlasting success for Indonesia [and] for all of us, [as well as] peace and prosperity. Greetings with tolerance," Iwan said.
As quoted from Monas' Instagram page @monumen.nasional, the dancing fountain and video mapping shows were held from December 25 to 27, 2024 at 19.30 to 20.00 Western Indonesia Time (WIB).
