Benuanta Fest 2k24 x Musik Alam Fest Achieves Great Success
October 1, 2024The Benuanta Fest 2K24 x Musik Alam Fest event was a huge success, attracting thousands of visitors for five days at Bundayati City Forest Park in Tanjung Selor District, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan Province.
The event, which combines natural music with local culture, was officially closed by North Kalimantan Governor Zainal A. Paliwang on Sep. 24, 2024.
"This event is not only entertainment, but also a reflection of our cultural richness. Our traditional music and dance are ancestral heritage that we must preserve," Zainal stated during his speech.
Benuanta Fest has appeared to become a magnet for tourism to North Kalimantan, especially with the number of visitors to the event that surpassed 44,000 people.
"This is proof that the people of North Kalimantan have high enthusiasm for preserving culture. Through this event, we not only enjoy art but also strengthen friendships between each other," he added.
Zainal also noted that the importance of Benuanta Fest as part of the promotion of North Kalimantan tourism and culture.
"This event is included in the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry's calendar of events. Hopefully, Benuanta Fest can continue to take place every year so that North kalimantan's culture and tourism will be more widely known," he said.
In addition to artistic performances, the event was also enlivened by various micro, small, and medium enterprise booths, culinary tours, and exhibitions that showcased the North Kalimantan Provincial Government's achievements. The exhibitions are also a means for the public to see the results of the government's work firsthand.
The influx of visitors made the Bundayati City Forest parking area crowded, and many were forced to park their vehicles along Sengkawit Road. The closing night was even more lively with the performance of the legendary rock band Power Metal. Thousands of spectators cheered non-stop to the rhythm of the music.
"This is an extraordinary event, hopefully next year will be even more lively," one of the visitors said.
The North Kalimantan Province Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), North Kalimantan Provincial Secretary Suriansyah, and the heads of the provincial government departments also attended the closing ceremony.
"Benuanta Fest is not just for entertainment, it also raises a sense of pride in the potential of our region," Zainal concluded.
