Aceh Jaya Holds Piasan Raya in Celebration of Anniversary

The Aceh Jaya Regency Government will host Piasan Raya in celebration of its 22nd Anniversary.
Piasan Raya is a grand festival that will run from July 21 to 24, 2024. The event will take place at various locations, with Pasie Luah Beach serving as the main stage, and it will be open to the entire public.
The 22nd Anniversary of Aceh Jaya Regency Piasan Raya in 2024 will have "Aceh Jaya Meusyuhu Ngoen Mulia, Beu Meusampoe Ta Bangun Marwah" as its theme. The event aims to celebrate and promote the rich cultural heritage and tourism potential of Aceh Jaya, Aceh Province.
The festival will feature a variety of exciting activities, including local product exhibitions, traditional art performances, Acehnese cuisine cooking competitions, and various folk games. Additionally, there will be a culinary bazaar offering a wide range of regional foods and drinks to delight visitors.
Acting Aceh Jaya Regent A. Murtala stated that Piasan Raya is one of Aceh Raya Regency's efforts to preserve local culture and traditions.
"Piasan Raya is also an opportunity to promote Aceh Jaya tourism to both local and international tourists," he said.
Murtala also invited all residents of Aceh Jaya to participate in the Piasan Raya festivities.
"Let's make Piasan Raya a moment to strengthen unity and to promote Aceh Jaya's culture to the world," he urged.
Aceh Jaya Regency Council (DPRK) Speaker Muslem D welcomed the Piasan Raya Festival in commemoration of Aceh Jaya's 22nd Anniversary, noting that the event not only provides entertainment and joy for the people of Aceh Jaya but also significantly impacts the regency's economy, particularly for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
"Piasan Raya not only enlivens the [regency's] atmosphere, but it also boosts small and medium [enterprise] economic sectors. We hope that Piasan Raya will become a magnet for tourists, attracting visitors from beyond Aceh Jaya. We are optimistic about drawing the attention of tourists from outside Aceh Jaya to visit and enjoy Aceh Jaya's cultural richness with the right promotion," Muslem explained.
Meanwhile, Aceh Jaya Regional Secretary T. Reza Fahlevi mentioned that this year's anniversary celebration of Aceh Jaya is being held in July.
"The actual anniversary of Aceh Jaya is on Apr. 10, [2024,] but it coincided with the first day of Idul Fitri this year. Insha Allah, future celebrations will be held on Apr. 10 as usual," he clarified.
Reza Fahlevi further invited all residents to attend the Piasan Raya event in celebration of Aceh Jaya Regency's 22nd Anniversary in 2024.
"We invite all residents of Aceh Jaya and its surroundings to participate in the Piasan Raya festivities. Let us celebrate together the cultural diversity and progress of Aceh Jaya that we have achieved over the past 22 years," Reza Fahlevi concluded .
