Highland Papua Province Family Empowerment and Welfare Movement Team (TP-PKK) Head Herwin Wanggai officially opened a painting exhibition about noken and coffee by Nanci Imelda Nahuway at Warkop An Meke, Gang Nirwana Wamena Road in Wamena District, Jayawijaya Regency, Highland Papua on Mar. 1, 2025.

The Highland Papua Provincial Government is trying to improve the condition of the Jayapura-Wamena road in 2025. Acting Highland Papua Governor Velix V. Wanggai stated in Wamena District, Jayawijaya Regency, Highland Papua on Feb. 13, 2025, that land transportation is the main focus of all development sectors in the province.

The Highland Papua Provincial Government is focusing on improving transportation to enhance the tourism sector so that tourists continue to visit the local area.

PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk or BRI is involved in the syndicated financing for the Mamberamo-Elelim segment of the Trans Papua Road project's Jayapura-Wamena Section in Highland Papua Province. BRI Wholesale & Institution Business Director Agus Noorsanto said that BRI's involvement in the project is real evidence of the company's contribution in supporting the development of national strategic infrastructure.

The government plans to build two apartment towers in the Highland Papua Province. Housing and Settlement Areas Minister Maruarar Sirait said that the apartments' construction were carried out to provide decent housing for the local community and encourage equitable development in the Papua region.

The Yahukimo Regency Government has closed the 2024 Twelve Yahukimo Tribes Cultural Festival at the Yahukimo Regent's office in Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua Province on Aug. 14, 2024. The festival included artistic performances, parades, competitions, and and cultural art performances that led to the occasion being featured in the Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) program.
