Various Artistic Exhibitions Displayed at TAF 2024

The West Tulang Bawang (Tubaba) Regency Government of Lampung Province has held the 2024 Tubaba Art Festival (TAF) on Aug. 1-3, 2024, at the Ulluan Nughik & Las Sengok Cultural City in Tubaba.

TAF 2024, which has "Self and Space: Festivity from the Kitchen" as its theme, is a forum for promoting Tubaba's regional arts and culture while improving the local economy and developing creative industries.

Various artistic expressions was displayed at TAF 2024, such as theater, dance, music, fine arts, literature, and film. This event was also attended by foreign artists from China, Japan, America and Thailand.

Present at TAF 2024 opening ceremony of TAF 2024 were Acting Tubaba Regent M. Firsada, Acting Lampung Governor Samsudin, Lampung Regency Government officials, Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry/Agency (Baparekraf)Regional Event Director Reza Pahlevi, and TAF 2024 Director Semi Ikra Anggara.

Firsada expressed his support for TAF as a medium for promoting regional arts and culture in West Tulang Bawang Regency.

"I welcome the 8th edition of TAF. To all related agencies and the people of West Tulang Bawang, let us support this event so that the economy can experience significant improvement," he stated.

As part of efforts to advance the region, TAF 2024 was selected as one of the 110 agendas of the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry/Baparekraf's Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN), a strategic program of the Ministry that promotes tourism destinations through events aimed at increasing foreign and domestic tourist visits.

As part of the Ministry's KEN, TAF 2024 also received appreciation from Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry/Baparekraf Regional Events Director Reza Fahlevi.

"I am also proud of the participation of all parties who led to this event being included in KEN 2024. Hopefully economic growth in Tubaba will experience significant improvement and lead to changes for the better," he said.

Visitors were treated to interesting entertainment and exhibitions during the three days that the festival was held for. These include the Palestine Art Care fine arts exhibition, the Tanoh Nughik ceramics exhibition, the Kitchen fine arts exhibition, and the Krakatoa: Boom; Homecoming; Cycle Chaos performance.

There were also various public workshops, including workshops on poetry, mat weaving, ceramics and closed with a screening of the documentary film "Festivity From The Kitchen" and a charity music performance for Palestine.
