Rengginang Kidal Becomes Key Business for PNM Mekaar

Front Row (The Jakarta Post) July 22, 2024 Rengginang Kidals' Yani Risnawati. (PNM).

PNM Mekaar client Yani Risnawati faced despair after a stroke left her bedridden. However, making rengginang reignited her spirit. Despite initial failures, Yani successfully transformed 5 kilograms of glutinous rice into rengginang.

She crafted the snacks with her left hand by molding, drying and frying, inspiring the name Rengginang Kidal.

There’s always a way for those who refuse to give up. Yani showcased her products at a school reunion, receiving positive feedback from friends.

“Many suggested I increase production and sell online for greater visibility,” she said.

Gradually, orders for Rengginang Kidal increased. In addition to word of mouth, she began selling on Instagram, WhatsApp and Facebook.

Seeing growing opportunities, Yani sought larger capital by becoming a PNM Mekaar client and participating in their business training. She continuously innovates with new flavors of this Cirebon snack.

Rengginang Kidal even showcased its potential during the Iranian Vice President’s recent visit to Indonesia. “I was invited by PNM to present Rengginang Kidal to international guests. I never imagined my product would gain such exposure without participating in PNM bazaars,” Yani added.

PNM is committed to supporting businesses to elevate their standards and compete globally, often facilitating clients to participate in larger bazaars.
