Realized investments to Banten reached Rp22.2 trillion in Q4 2024

The Banten Province Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) recorded Banten's realized investments reaching Rp22.2 trillion in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2024, with realized domestic investments contributing Rp12.2 trillion or around 55 percent of the total while realized foreign investments accounted for Rp10 trillion or about 45 percent.
"Alhamdulillah, there have been many positive [economic] performances in 2024. We express our appreciation to all parties [for the achievement]," said Banten DPMPTSP Head Virgojanti stated during the release of Banten Province's Q4 2024 realized investments data at the DPMPTSP Banten office in Serang City on Feb. 5, 2025.
The realized investments resulted in the employment of 34,932 workers, which consists of 34,577 Indonesian workers and 355 foreign workers. The jobs created is in line with one of the province's investment objectives that has an impact on the local community.
Virgo added the housing, industrial estates, and offices sectors were still the dominant source of realized investments, contributing Rp5.26 trillion or 23.7 percent. It is followed in second place by the chemical and pharmaceutical industry sector with Rp3.54 trillion or 15.98 percent, as well as the transportation, warehouses, and telecommunications sector with Rp2.03 trillion or 9.14 percent.
"Then there is the paper and printing industrial [sector with] Rp1.73 trillion or 7.82 percent, as well as the trade and repair [sector] with Rp1.35 trillion or 6.08 percent," he divulged.
He added that Banten's achievement on investments was thanks to the hard work of all parties who have maintained the investment climate in Banten well. The Banten DPMPTSP is also committed to continuing to improve licensing services in order to facilitate investment flows in this Land of Champions.
"Alhamdulillah, Banten is in the top eight nominees for the province [with the] best investment and one-stop integrated services from 38 provinces throughout Indonesia, and we also get evaluations from the central [government] and external parties such as the [Indonesian] Ombudsman related to investment and one-stop integrated services. Yesterday, we got a score of 94.9 [points] from the Ombudsman as the highest quality with the highest level of public service compliance," he concluded.
