The North Sumatra Region Central Committee of National Sports Week (PON), or North Sumatra PB PON for PON XXI Aceh-North Sumatra has provided a counter for the public where they could obtain free tickets to watch the closing ceremony of PON XXI on Sep. 20, 2024.

"We also opened a counter at the location [for the people] who have not obtained [tickets for PON XXI closing ceremony in North Sumatra through] e-ticketing. They could pick [their tickets] up directly at the location. The entrance ticket is in the form of a bracelet which will be given for free," PB PON North Sumatra for PON XXI Ceremony Division Head Mahfullah Pratama Daulay stated in a press conference titled "Preparation for the PON Aceh-North Sumatra Closing Ceremony, North Sumatra Region" in Medan City, North Sumatra Province on Sep. 16, 2024.

Mahfullah explained that the measure was taken because the tickets provided by the committee through e-ticketing have run out. The counter is located at the North Sumatra Sport Center Main Stadium.

For people who still do not manage to get the tickets, Mahfullah said that PON PB North Sumatra will provide videotrons at several points, such as the outside of the North Sumatra Sport Center Main Stadium and the Madya Athletics Stadium so they could watch the PON closing ceremony together.

"The stadium will be opened since 15.00 (Western Indonesia Time) WIB. So to the ladies and gentlemen who get invitations, as well as those who get the tickets, please come to the stadium so they could be received there. There are also several series of activities inside," he announced.

Mahfullah said that the North Sumatra Main Stadium could accommodate 11,377 visitors, consisting of 5,135 people in the west stand, 3,121 people in the south stand, and 3,121 people in the north stand.
