North Kalimantan Governor Promotes Local Caves

WINDONESIA June 13, 2024 North Kalimantan Governor Zainal A. Paliwang and the province's higher officials at the Batu Tumpuk tourist destination in Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan. (North Kalimantan Provincial Government).

North Kalimantan Governor Zainal Arifin Paliwang and his entourage spent their weekend visiting the Batu Tumpuk tourist attraction in Panca Agung Village, North Tanjung Palas District, Bulungan Regency, North Kalimantan on Jun. 9, 2024.

The journey to the location took around 20 minutes from Panca Agung Village. The small road heading there did not hinder the two-wheeled convoy led by Governor Zainal A Paliwang from enjoying the beautiful nature of North Kalimantan, including the naturally-arranged rocks at Batu Tumpuk.

"Insha Allah, we will develop this cave into a tourist destination in Panca Agung Village," Zainal said while visiting Batu Tumpuk.

He praised the unique charm of the Batu Tumpuk tourist attraction in Panca Agung, emphasizing its potential. The governor's visit also aimed to raise awareness among the people of North Kalimantan about the numerous caves in the region that are worth visiting. This activity serves to introduce the area's tourist attractions and attract more visitors.

"I hope this cave can become a tourist destination for both domestic and international tourists. I am aware that there are many cave-loving communities both in Indonesia and abroad," Zainal concluded.
