The Mount Rinjani National Park (TNGR) in West Nusa Tenggara Province will be reopened for nature tourism on Apr. 3, 2025, after being closed in early 2025, as it is now possible to climb Mount Rinjani once again.

TNGR Office Head Yarman stated on Mar. 24, 2025, that the reopening took into account the recovery of the ecosystem and information on weather forecasts from the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) Zainuddin Abdul Madjid Lombok Meteorological Station.

He added that the nature tourism trails that were reopened include the Senaru Resort National Park Management Section (SPTN) Region I TNGR, Torean Resort SPTN Region I TNGR, and the Tetebatu Resort SPTN Region II TNGR.

The quota set for natural tourism visits to the Mount Rinjani National Park is the same as the normal quota, with a maximum climbing duration of four days and three nights.

"Entrance ticket reservations for the area can be made on the eRinjani application starting from Mar. 25, 2025," Yarman revealed.

He hoped that nature lovers and tourists to Mount Rinjani will care about waste and the environment when visiting the national park.

"Let's make the 'Go Rinjani Zero Waste 2025' program a success so that [Mount] Rinjani's beauty is maintained," said Yarman.
