IV/Empat Suku Menanti Village Listed in 2024 ADWI Top 50

IV/Empat Suku Menanti Village in Sindang Daratan District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province has successfully secured a spot in the top 50 list of the 2024 Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI). The ADWI is organized by the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry.

Sindang Dataran District Head Anton Seprizal announced on May 27, 2024, at the Rejang Lebong Regency office that IV/Empat Suku Menanti Village is renowned for its prominent tourist attractions. they include the Punai Bath Waterfall, which features several waterfalls in one complex, and agro-tourism sites featuring apple and orange orchards as well as a coffee village.

"We are grateful that on the night of Sunday, May 26, [2024, that] IV[/Empat] Suku Menanti Village made it into the top 50 of the 2024 ADWI," he said.

Anton noted that the announcement was made by Tourism and Creative Economy Minister Sandiaga Uno on the ministry's tourism village network website (Jadesta).

The village's journey to get listed in the 2024 ADWI's top 50 began in 2023 when the village won first place in the Bengkulu Provincial Tourism Village Competition. After that achievement, the IV/Empat Suku Menanti Village competed in the 2024 ADWI along with other tourism villages in Bengkulu Province.

"All of IV/Empat Suku Menanti Village's tourism potential is integrated with its BUMDes (village-owned enterprise), BUMDes Air Lang Jaya," Anton explained.

Having made it into the top 50 of the 2024 ADWI, they are now preparing for the next stage of evaluation which includes a visit from the Tourism and Creative Economy Minister, based on the experience of Belitar Seberang Village in Sindang Kelingi District which was visited by Sandiaga after making it into the top 50 in 2022.

The village is awaiting information from the Rejang Lebong Regency Tourism Office and the Bengkulu Province Tourism Office regarding the exact date of Sandiaga's visit.
