ITDC NU improves The Nusa Dua's water and gas network

ITDC Nusantara Utility (NU), a subsidiary of Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (InJourney) group member PT Pengembangan Pariwisata Indonesia or Injourney Tourism Development (ITDC), improves the clean water and natural gas (natgas) distribution network in The Nusa Dua to ensure a stable and good quality supply of both resources for hotel tenants and facilities in the tourism area.
ITDC NU President Director A.A. Istri Ratna Dewi said that the provision of stable, good quality, and sustainable clean water and natural gas is part of the main strategy in maintaining The Nusa Dua area as a leading environmentally friendly tourist destination.
" We are committed to optimizing efficient resource management and providing reliable infrastructure services for tenants alongside ITDC. This step is in line with our vision of creating a modern, competitive, and sustainable tourism ecosystem," she said.
ITDC NU worked together with PT Memiontec Bakti Bali to build clean water pipes for tenants in The Nusa Dua area, with the work progress reaching 88.49 percent as of Jan. 10, 2025. ITDC NU has also signed clean water supply contracts with several tenants that have a combined volume of up to 7,250 cubic meters (m3) per day.
That figure includes The Grand Whiz with 100 m3 per day, Kayu Manis Nusa Dua Private Villa with 400 m3 per day, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa - Handwritten Collection with 2,000 m3 per day, The Westin Resort Nusa Dua with 850 m3 per day, Courtyard Bali The Nusa Dua Resort with 500 m3 per day, Grand Hyatt Bali with 3,000 m3 per day, The Grand Bali with 300 m3 per day, and Cicada with 100 m3 per day.
The initial distribution of clean water at The Grand Whiz and Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa - Handwritten Collection started on Feb. 1, 2025. A commissioning test to ensure the system's readiness was carried out as part of the preparation for the distribution on five The Nusa Dua tenants, namely The Grand Whiz, Kayu Manis Nusa Dua Private Villa, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa - Handwritten Collection, Courtyard Bali The Nusa Dua Resort and Marriott's Bali Nusa Dua Garden.
ITDC NU is also expanding the natgas infrastructure network to ensure the availability of more efficient and safer energy for hotels, restaurants, and other facilities at The Nusa Dua, with a total volume of 67,029 standard cubic meter per month (Sm³/month).
The Nusa Dua tenants who have signed the Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement (PJBG) include The Grand Whiz with 2,385 Sm³/month, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa - Handwritten Collection with 37,100 Sm³/month, Kayu Manis Nusa Dua Private Villa with 2,000 Sm³/month, Paradisus by Melia Bali with 5,000 Sm³/month, Merusaka Nusa Dua with 7,420 Sm³/month, Grand Hyatt Bali with 9,520 Sm³/month, Bebek Bengil with 636 Sm³/month, Le Bleu with 1,378 Sm³/month, and The Grand Bali with 1,590 Sm³/month.
ITDC Director of Operations Wenda Ramadya Nabiel said that ITDC is committed to continuing to improve infrastructure in The Nusa Dua area to support tenant operations and tourist comfort.
"Together with ITDC NU, we ensure the provision of clean water and gas that is efficient, reliable, and sustainable. This effort also contributes to reducing the carbon footprint, in line with ITDC's vision of creating a modern, environmentally friendly, and highly competitive tourism ecosystem," he said.
"As occupancy and tourist visits increase in 2024, ITDC continues to improve services to remain integrated with various innovations," added Wenda.
