Pariaman City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services (PMPTSP) and Manpower Office Head Gusniyetti Zaunit revealed that realized investment to Pariaman City, West Sumatra Province reached Rp50.5 billion in 2024, with property development and tourism, mainly restaurant and cafes, still being the city's largest investment sectors.

"Although the investment realization reached the target, Pariaman's realized investment also decreased from the previous year in 2024," she said as quoted on Feb. 11, 2025.

Gusniyetti added that realized investment to Pariaman City reached around Rp51 billion, with main contributing sectors being the property development and tourism.

"Many people established cafes and restaurants in 2023, while in 2024 it (the number) decreased," she said.

Guniyetti explained that realized investment to Pariaman City reached Rp38.9 billion in the first half (H1) of 2024, but only Rp11.5 billion in the second half (H2) of 2024. Nevertheless, the realized investment is expected to not only improve regional development that could attract tourist visits, but also increase money circulation and create more jobs.

Therefore, the Pariaman City PMPTSP and Manpower Office hopes that investment to the city will continue to increase and improve local residents' economic conditions. To attract investors, Guniyetti said that Pariaman City Government continues to strive to provide ease of licensing to anyone who wants to develop businesses in the city.

"We also facilitate the resolution of problems faced by investors in managing business permits by bringing together investors with the relevant parties," she concluded.
