The Central Papua Province Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise (MSME) Office has distributed industrial and small and medium enterprise (SME) equipment to local business actors. Central Papua Governor Expert Staff for Community, HR, and Special Autonomy Development Ukkas said that the handover of this assistance was a form of government concern and commitment in supporting the small, medium, and micro-enterprise industry sector to grow further.

"We all realize that SMEs are one of the important pillars in the economy, creating jobs, and making a major contribution to the welfare of the community," said Ukkas when reading the remarks of Acting  Central Papua Governor Anwar Harun Damanik during the handover of the equipment at old Nabire Airport's yard on Jan. 31, 2025.

With the provision of the tools, the government hopes that local business actors could be more productive, improve the quality and competitiveness of their products, as well as develop their businesses to a higher level.

"We believe that with hard work, innovation, and an unyielding spirit, our SMEs will be able to compete in an increasingly competitive market both locally and nationally," he said.

In principle, the Central Papua Provincial Government hopes that the handover of the industrial tools could be utilized optimally.

"Don't just use them as tools, but also as encouragement to continue learning, developing, and improving the quality of [your] business," he hoped.

The government and various stakeholders are committed to continuing to provide support and assistance so that Central Papua's SMEs become more advanced and independent.

"Use these tools optimally, maintain and care for them so that they can be used in the long term. Hopefully [your] businesses will continue to grow and bring benefits to families, communities, and the economy in our beloved Central Papua Province," concluded Ukkas.
