Central Kalimantan opens local section of National Halal Fair 2025

Central Kalimantan Governor Agustiar Sabran and Central Kalimantan Province Regional Handicrafts Council (Dekranasda) Chair Aisyah Thisia Agustiar Sabran officially opened National Halal Fair 2025 alongside Central Kalimantan Deputy Governor Edy Pratowo and his wife Nunu Andriani Edy Pratowo at Brigjend Katamso Road in Palangka Raya City, Central Kalimantan Province on Mar. 6, 2025.

"As we all have known, the purpose of the National Halal Fair is to enliven Ramadan, support MSMEs (micro, small, and medium enterprises), and educate the public about halal products," said Agustriar.

Edy also welcomed the activity that welcomes Ramadan 1446 After Hegira (AH)/2025 Common Era (CE).

"The Central Kalimantan Provincial Government can also obtain good information during Ramadan 1446 AH to help the public really enjoy the atmosphere of Ramadan as expected," he said.

The National Halal Fair is an simultaneous event in several provinces during Ramadan, including Central Kalimantan. The event is one of the assessments for the National Sharia Economy and Finance Committee (KNEKS) Anugerah Adhinata Syariah award.

The National Halal Fair is held for 16 days from Mar. 5 to 20, 2025, and it is preceded with the symbolic handover of 500 free staple food packages. The event then continued after the opening with a review of the MSME bazaar.

The 2025 National Halal Fair is attended by 76 business actors. Activities in the National Halal Fair include culinary activities, Muslim fashion, creation of enterprise Bank Indonesia Quick Response Code Indonesia Standard (QRIS) and money exchange using it.

There are also competitions such as Little Da'i (Islamic preacher), Teenage Da'wah (preaching Islam), Fashion, Mothers' Show, Sahur Bagarakan, Islamic Creative Dance, Solo Vocals, Islamic Content, and Fashion Designer for vocational high school students. In addition, various education and services were offered, includign microcredit loan program (KUR), halal certification, product distribution permits and certificates, aas well as Digital Literacy for MSMEs.
