Aceh Prepares Investment Blueprint to Attract Investment

Aceh Acting Governor Bustami Hamzah emphasized the Aceh Provincial Government's commitment to increasing investment realization through strategic steps.

One of said steps is the preparation of the "Aceh Investment Blueprint" document, which is the result of collaboration between the Aceh Government with private sector parties and investors.

At the plenary meeting of the Aceh Provincial Legislative Council (DPRA) regarding the Draft Qanun on Accountability for the Implementation of the Aceh Regional Budget for the 2023 Fiscal Year on July 15, 2024, Bustami also revealed the cooperation with Bank Indonesia Representative Office for Aceh to facilitate the preparation of Investment Project Ready to Offer (IPRO) for Aceh regencies and cities.

Furthermore, the Aceh Provincial Government provides support to business actors through incentives and ease of capital investment, which is regulated in the Aceh Gubernatorial Decree No. 188.34/26/2023 on Standard Operating Procedures for Providing Incentives or Ease of Capital Investment in Aceh.

Bustami also highlighted the issuance of Aceh Governor Regulation No. 22/2023 on Procedures for Renting Land and/or Buildings Owned by the Aceh Government for Certain Business Activities. The regulation aims to provide convenience for business actors in renting government land and building assets for a period of more than 5 years, especially for business activities with products of strategic economic value.

Meanwhile, the capital participation of Aceh Region-Owned Enterprises (BUMA) for companies investing in the mining as well as oil and gas sectors is also the focus of the Aceh Provincial Government to increase Locally-Generated Revenue (PAD).

A coordination meeting with BUMA was to be held afterwards to ensure this capital participation is in accordance with applicable statutory provisions.
