The festival also presents a documentary film with the theme of preserving rapa'i art which took place in North Aceh Regency.
Aceh Acting Governor Safrizal ZA, who was represented by Aceh Province Regional Events Director Reza Pahlevi, stated that Aceh Percussion 2024 has an important meaning not only as an entertainment event but also as a vehicle for preserving Acehnese art and culture.
"Rapa'i art has become an important part of our cultural heritage. Through this event, we hope that the younger generation will increasingly know and love local art, and feel proud of the richness of Acehnese culture," he said.
One of the achievements of the implementation of Aceh Percussion 2024 is it being listed among the 110 Karisma Event Nusantara (KEN) organized by the Tourism and Creative Economy Ministry.
Aceh Regional Secretariat Economy and Development Assistant Zulkifli also gave his appreciation to Aceh for the success of the festival. He added that events like Aceh Percussion are very important for increasing tourism in the region, because they have been proven to cause a major economic impact.
