South Tangerang –  The rising municipality

The municipality of South Tangerang in Banten Province presents a unique blend of urban development, natural landscapes, and economic opportunities. Situated southwest of Jakarta, the municipality spans 147.19 square kilometers and is home to a diverse population of over 1.5 million residents.

Three main industries supported South Tangerang's economy in 2023: Property at 17.42 percent, Construction at 17.39 percent, and Wholesale and Retail Trade and Repair of Vehicles and Motorcycles at 16.70 percent. Other significant sectors included Information Communications at 11.01 percent, Education at 8.01 percent, and Manufacturing at 7.82 percent. Other industries accounted for 21.65 percent.
