West Lampung Government Stresses Importance of Themed Tourism Market

This year, the West Lampung Regency Government, through its Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Trade Office, received a budget allocation of Rp70 billion from the Trade Ministry to construct a Themed Tourism Market in Lumbok Seminung District, West Lampung Regency, Lampung Province.
"The consultant's presentation earlier showed a very impressive, luxurious, and grand design. However, considering the project's significant scale, I reiterate to the consultants that everything must be meticulously planned. We don't want a situation where the design looks great, but the final result disappoints the community and the West Lampung Regency Government," Acting West Lampung Regent Nukman reminded at a meeting regarding the progress of the development plan for the Jelajah Danau Ranau-Themed Market on May 13, 2024
Nukman committed to closely monitoring the development of the Themed Tourism Market project, which will integrate culture and tourism.
"I also urge all related departments to fully back this project. We need to work together and provide whatever is necessary to ensure that this development meets our expectations and boosts the revenue of West Lampung Regency," he said.
Nukman also hoped that the construction of the Tourism Themed Market will become a prime tourist destination, positively impacting the local economy.
Meanwhile, West Lampung Regency's Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises, and Trade Office Head Tri Umaryani expressed her gratitude to all parties who have supported the Themed Tourism Market development plan from its proposal stage to the present.
Tri Umaryani hopes that integrating the market development with the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) for Small and Medium Industries and Tourism could accelerate the establishment of Lumbok Seminung as a tourist destination in West Lampung Regency.
"The construction of this themed tourism market through the DAK for Trade is expected to boost trade activities and transactions in the tourist area," Tri Umaryani concluded.
