Realized investments to Banten reached fourth place nationally in Q3 2025

The Banten Province Investment and Integrated One-Stop Service Agency (DPMPTSP) reported that investment realization in the province reached a staggering Rp 30.85 trillion in the third quarter (Q3) of 2025, up 22.46 percent year-on-year (yoy). This achievement places Banten fourth among Indonesian provinces after West Java with Rp 77.1 trillion, the Jakarta Special Capital Region (DKI) with Rp 63.3 trillion, and Central Sulawesi with Rp 33.4 trillion.

In his remarks for the Banten Investment Forum (BIF) 2025 at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in the BSD City area of Tangerang Regency, Banten, on Oct. 21–22, 2025, Banten Governor Andra Soni emphasized the the provincial government's commitment to attracting quality investment.

"We invite investment, and we prepare human resources," said Andra in a written statement.

He also highlighted the Banten Provincial Government's focus of btoh attracting capital as well as cultivating the readiness of local human resources and infrastructure development to create a welcoming investment climate. Andra believes these two approaches will significantly reduce poverty and increase employment.

Meanwhile, Banten DPMPTSP Head Virgojanti stated that the Banten Provincial Government's investment achievements are the result of effective coordination with the central government through the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM). The Banten Provincial Government also coordinates with regency and city DPMPTSP as well as other stakeholderss, while also improving on-the-spot licensing services and providing technical assistance to investors.

The Banten Provincial Government's total domestic investment and foreign investment realization in Q3 2025 reached Rp 18.66 trillion and Rp 12.19 trillion, respectively, from a combined 32,290 projects based according to Banten DPMPTSP data. This achievement underscores Banten's increasingly attractive investment climate. The realized investments in Q3 2025 also created 44,962 jobs.

Banten's total investment realization from January to September 2025 reached Rp 91.5 trillion, exceeding the Rp 64 trillion target included in the province's 2025 Regional Development Work Plan (RKPD) by 142 percent. The investment realization from the first quarter (Q1) to Q3 2025 also reached 76.59 percent of the target set by the Investment and Downstream Industry Ministry/BKPM. 

By region, Tangerang Regency recorded the highest investment realization for both Q3 2025 with Rp 11.93 trillion and the Q1–Q3 period with Rp28.54 trillion. It is followed by Cilegon City for Q3 investment realization with Rp 6.24 trillion, and Tangerang City for cumulative investment realization in the Q1–Q3 period with Rp 18.07 trillion.

In terms of economic sector, the housing, industrial estates, and offices sector recorded the highest investment realization for the Q1–Q3 period with Rp 15.82 trillion. It is followed by the chemical and pharmaceutical manufacturing sector with Rp 13.15 trillion; the metal, metal goods, non-machinery metal goods, and equipment manufacturing sector with Rp 9.49 trillion; the trade and repair sector with Rp 8.49 trillion; as well as the transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications sector with Rp 6.8 trillion

The top five countries in terms of foreign investments to Banten in Q3 2025 were Malaysia with Rp 3.34 trillion, Thailand with Rp 1.65 trillion, and Singapore with Rp 1.61 trillion. For the Q1–Q3 period, China topped the list with Rp 7.47 trillion, followed by Malaysia with Rp 7.21 trillion. Investments to natural resource downstream industry development in Banten reached Rp 7.37 trillion in Q3 2025, mostly from the oil and gas subsector with Rp 4.25 trillion and the minerals subsector with Rp 1.9 trillion.
