Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Riau Islands Province is strengthening its investment expansion strategy by building direct connections with the Indonesian business community in Europe.
As part of a business networking event in the Netherlands, Kadin Riau Islands Chair Nur Mustafa met with the Indonesian Business Association in the Netherlands (ASPINA) to explore the establishment of an investment cooperation pipeline, particularly in the maritime sector and manufacturing sector; such as the development of port-based economic zones.
During the meeting, Mustafa outlined the advantages of the Riau Islands as a strategic industrial area located along international shipping routes supported by a growing ecosystem of shipbuilding, manufacturing, and cross-border logistics. He stated that the Indonesian business diaspora in Europe holds strategic value as investors and business partners in providing access to global markets.
"This diaspora network can act as an investment catalyst, whether through direct investment, joint ventures, or strengthening the Riau Islands maritime industry supply chain," Mustafa said on Feb. 6, 2026.
He emphasized that Kadin Riau Islands' approach goes beyond promoting regional potential towards encouraging the formation of measurable and sustainable business collaborations.
