BPJN XXII starts preparation on sector 2 infrastructure for food security program

The Public Works Ministry National Road Implementation Center (BPJN) XXII South Papua was tasked with arranging the construction of road and bridge infrastructure in the South Papua to support President Prabowo Subianto's food security program in the province.

Currently, BPJN XXII is handling roads in sector 2 starting from Salor-Tagaepe-Nakias-Wanam and 140 KM in the rice field area towards Muting. The total length of sector 2 is 345 KM, and in it will include around 40 bridges both small and large.

"We will immediately go down to prepare BM (benchmark) markers for surveys by colleagues from the [BPJN] headquarters on Dec. 5," BPJN XXII Head Benyamin E. Pasurnay stated on Dec. 3, 2024.

BPJN XII has not calculated the amount of the budget for the construction of road infrastructure in sector 2 because it is still in the process of being measured. However, Benyamin did inform that BPJN XII aims to complete the construction of the 500 meter Kali Bian Bridge, which will cost Rp700 billion, by the end of 2024.
