Following the successful concerts of the past two years, The Gaia Hotel Bandung is back with the Gaia Music Festival (GMF): Jazz in The Valley, promising more varied and quality shows, with a livelier musical atmosphere.
The third edition of the GMF: Jazz in The Valley will run from Aug. 3 to 4, 2024, at the valley of the Gaia Hotel Bandung, West Java.
The Gaia Hotel Bandung revealed in a press conference on the planned concert organized at KAUM Jakarta on Jul. 4, 2024, that music and movies were two of the hotel’s active/rest pillars, which had served as the starting point for organizing GMF: Jazz in The Valley.
Jazz music has been selected as the hotel wanted to prioritize creativity, exploration and spontaneity for visiting guests through GMF.

GMF is The Gaia Hotel’s signature program to enable guests, young and old, to find entertainment, refreshment and inspiration in the comfortable facilities of The Gaia Hotel Bandung through music.
“What sets our concert apart from other shows is that our concert is held in the hotel and outdoors in a valley. That’s why we call it Jazz in the Valley. We also place a family-friendly concept as our priority. Not just adults, children can also join the fun. While watching the musical show, they can also enjoy the hotel’s facilities,” said Novi Samodro.
GAIA Music Festival: Jazz in The Valley is well recognized as one of Bandung’s impressive intimate concerts.

“This year we’re planning a bigger role for audiences. We view the attending audience as part of the performance of GAIA Music Festival: Jazz in The Valley. This way, the atmosphere can be become increasingly livelier. That’s why we carry the theme, Total Enjoyment,” said Rezka M Wildhan.
GAIA Music Festival: Jazz in The Valley 2024 will feature top bands and singers, including Mocca, Aditya Ong Quartet, Dua Empat, Elfa’s Singer, Ivan Nestorman, Dewa Budjana and Kahitna.
The organizer is also slated to prepare a special project for the event by presenting Natasya Elvira & Kevin Yosua Big 6, shining young musicians.
“Musician Kevin Yosua once played as part of the repertoire. This will be my first appearance at GMF. Once I stayed the night at The Gaia Hotel Bandung. Best hotel ever! The line up [of musicians and singers] in last year’s GMF was cool and now it has an increasing variety [of sounds]. I am proud of being able to play along with musicians from various generations here. The Gaia Hotel Bandung offers an enjoyable atmosphere and the food is also tasty,” said Natasya Elvira.
Prior to entering the GAIA Hotel Bandung’s amphitheater, one of the venues for the GMF, you will treated to a welcoming performance by the Bandung Jazz Orchestra, which will give you a special experience.
Bagas Indyatmono pointed out, “This year, we will also provide musical education by holding a drum clinic in collaboration with Nguber Drummer and showcasing young musicians.”
He said he hoped that next year, the series of program would be even more complete. “This is a celebration of musicians, jazz enthusiasts and the attending spectators here. We want all attending the event to be happy and feel their needs met and eager to attend the next GMF. From one year to the next, we always present legendary and emerging artists. We want quality performances at GMF,” he said.
Tickets are available in three categories: regular tickets are priced at Rp 500,000 (US$31), VIP 1 at Rp 950,000 and VIP 2 at Rp 850,000 per ticket per day. So, if you are eager to watch the concert, you have much choice.
The organizers are also sell two-day tickets, at Rp 900,000 for the regular category, Rp1.7 million for VIP 1 and Rp1.5 million for VIP 2.
