The Yogyakarta Sultanate has approved the lease of 320,000 square metres (m2) of land for a toll road construction project under a long-term lease. Penghageng II Panitikismo KRT Suryo Satriyanto explained in a written statement on July 24, 2025, that the government will lease land with Sultan Ground (SG) status under the agreement. The rental price is Rp12,500 per metre per year, or the equivalent of Rp500,000 per metre for a period of 40 years, he said in a written statement on Thursday (July 24, 2025).

The Constitutional Court's recent landmark decision to separate national and regional elections has created significant implications for legislatures, particularly the House of Representatives.
