Vietnamese automotive manufacturer VinFast has expressed interest in investment opportunities in West Nusa Tenggara Province. Deputy Foreign Minister Arrmanatha Nasir revealed the plan, which was conveyed directly by VinFast Chief Executive Officer Pham Sanh Chau, after discussing it alongside West Nusa Tenggara Lalu Muhamad Iqbal on May 22, 2025.

The 2025 Rimpu Mantika Festival held in Bima City, West Nusa Tenggara Province, has succeeded in attracting the attention of many people from Indonesia and abroad. West Nusa Tenggara Governor Lalu Muhamad Iqbal revealed that there are three strategic investment opportunities in West Nusa Tenggara Province, namely in solar panel development, cattle farming, and tourism.

The West Nusa Tenggara Province Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) recorded realized investment to the province reaching Rp54.55 trilllion throughout 2024. DPMPTSP West Nusa Tenggara Wahyu Hidayat said the realized investment figure is 202 percent of the 26.9 percent annual target.
